PURPOSE
We are asking for donations to fund the costs associated with research. Donations will be used for several purposes, primarily to fund the genetic research and related costs, and establishing facilities where doctors can study longitudinal patient data, critical for clinical trials. All of this is necessary for FDA approval of any medications or treatments. Time is of the essence, as the degenerative effects of the disease are not reversible, but can be stopped if a cure is discovered.
Our foundation is fully authorized as a nonprofit charity, so any donation you make is tax-exempt under IRS Section 501(c)(3). See the link below for a copy of our legal notice, including tax ID number.
Of the donations you give, almost 100% goes to research, funding the efforts of the physicians and scientists who are working tirelessly to find a cure.
