Five Years of Impact: Honoring Bob Ziarko

Bob has been the heart and driving force behind our events and fundraising efforts. Alongside his wife, Mickie, he brought imagination, energy, and joy to everything he touched—most memorably through five fundraising shows, the most recent the unforgettable Woodstock-themed fundraisers. Complete with live bands, vibrant social gatherings, and friends dressed in colorful hippy attire, these events were about more than fundraising. They created moments of laughter, connection, and true community, while collectively raising close to $200,000 in support of our mission.

We cannot begin to express our gratitude for the time, creativity, and love Bob and Mickie poured into the Foundation. Their dedication has meant so much—not only to our work, but especially to Elouise and our entire H-ABC family. Bob’s warmth, vision, and signature spirit helped shape some of our most cherished memories, and he leaves behind a legacy that will be felt for years to come.

While Bob is stepping away from his Board role, he remains a close and cherished friend of the Foundation. His belief in our mission, and the joy he brought to it, will always be part of who we are.

Thank you, Bob and Mickie, for all you have given and for the love you continue to share. We wish you a joyful, relaxing, and very well-earned retirement.
