Meet Fernando Ibarra

Fernando Ibarra is a Biology graduate from American University with an interest in neuroscience, rare disease research, and translational medicine. As a volunteer Scientific Advisor with H-ABC, Fernando supports the Foundation’s efforts to advance research, expand educational outreach, and strengthen connections among researchers, clinicians, and the rare disease community.
Fernando hopes to contribute to meaningful research while helping raise awareness and improve opportunities for individuals and families affected by H-ABC/TUBB4A related leukodystrophy.
