Tabriz’s Story

Hi, my name is Tabriz and I just turned 6.

I live on the little French island of New Caledonia in the South Pacific.
I live with my 3 sisters, 2 brothers, and my Mom (plus 1 dog, 1 cat, fish, and 2 rabbits).

Next year I’m starting my first year of elementary school, and I’m so excited to finally learn to read and write.

I love going for “walks” (mine look more like “rides”) with my friends and family.
I love meeting new people, telling stories, and I really love pink, unicorns, dancing, and singing.

This year I started a weekly sports training program, and one day I will win the Olympics. Just remember my big smile and crazy curly hair—you’ll see me on TV.

This is my dream. It’s real! And you can help make it possible by helping find a cure for the disease I was born with: TUBB4A-related Leukodystrophy (H-ABC).

Apparently my genes decided to do their own little thing (kind of like me), and now I’m not developing the way I should be.

My family helps me keep every ability I can until a cure is found. But that can’t happen without your support, because the brave scientists working to help me—and the 150 people worldwide with H-ABC—need funding to continue their research.

Thank you for anything you can do to help.
Thank you for helping make my dreams come true.
